Gripping Novel!
This historical book about pre-World War II in Germany and Austria will keep you on the edge of your seat. I could hardly put the book down! The characters are so real and I could identify with their emotions - fears and relief both. I have learned a lot about how Germans were duped to follow Hitler, and how his doctrine of hate led them to destruction and takeover of anyone who disagreed. I finished this book and immediately started reading it's sequel, Prague Counterpoint, which continues the story with many of the same characters. Here again, I can hardly put this book down!!
