Excerpt from Victorian Poets, Vol. 2 of 2: Revised, and Extended, by a Supplementary Chapter, to the Fifteenth Year of the Period Under Review This may be true; nevertheless, it also should be declared, with certain modifications, that Robert Brown ing, in the original sense of the term, is not a dra matic poet at all. They have the sacred rage and fire, but the flame is that of Brown ing, and not of the separate creations which he strives to inform.
