Volumes 1, 3, 4 and 5 are bound in three quarter cloth over paper-covered boards, with paper spine labels. Volume 2 is bound in full cloth, with gilt-stamped titles. Each volume is a substantial quarto, well illustrated, containing a mixture of shorter papers and longer monographs in various topics of African (and African-American) anthropology, history and archaeology.
