Uruguayan theatre is receiving increased attention in the UK and, having contributed new translations and scholarship to this field, Sophie Stevens here examines Uruguayan theatre in motion, through translation, as an innovative and creative way of engaging with national theatre. Sophie Stevens is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.
