I loved this book. Right until the end you will think you know who the plotters are - only to be hugely surprised. Of course, the reader is driven by the writer to believe it is one person, but even then, I suspected another character than it actually was. I never believed it was the person I was lead to believe initially, but I was still wrong. Though this book did not have several attempts and tons of stuff going on all at one time, the read was fantastic. I rank it within the top 5 Howard novels I have read. And it appears I have read most of her work. With the shear volume of books she has written, to rank top 5 is a feat - considering so many of her novels are just that good. This book moved fast through the story - focusing mostly on the crash and the two who are in it, yet it is not boringly so - even at over 300 pages and 70% focused on the crash site and the two struggling to survive. This is not a pair fighting, loving, losing and coming together in angst to make it. It is purely a great suspense novel (with her chemistry tossed in, of course) that will have you guessing right until the end. You will definitly keep this book for future reads and I highly recommend at least one go at it. You will not be disappointed.
