Excellent Book, Pulls all emotions from the reader
Pamela Clare has really developed her writing skills since the first book I read of hers, Carnal Gift (historical romance). Her modern series is excellent. Her first modern series I read was Breaking Point and I loved that story. This was the second modern story that I read of hers and I loved the characters in this book. I can easily see this story adapted into a movie. My other favorite author is Sandra Brown and Pamela Clare has risen to the level of Ms. Brown.
One of the things that I love about this author is that she takes you on a journey with her stories. It is rich in scenery and keeps the reader engaged in her stories. Ms. Clare does not bore you with the same old scene.
This story is of the journalist Solphie Alton and Marc Hunter a convicted felon who were once star cross lovers in high school. Their paths crossed again when she takes an interest in Marc's half sister, Meagan, who was a trouble teen who illegally takes her baby from foster care and disappears. Marc breaks out of prison by luring Sophie to interview him by pretending to have info on Meagan ... When in reality Marc didn't know where Meagan was but wanted to find Meagan. I loved all the characters in this story .. Including Sophie's jerk of a boss - but one who stands by his employees. This book not only had me laughing, but had me crying too. A sign of a good author is the ability to pull all the different emotions from her readers and this author ... Has arrived. Well done, Ms. Clare!

GREAT BOOK!!!!!
I haven't read the other 2 books and skipped ahead to book 3. This book is great, it had me guessing the whole time I was reading and I was on the edge of my seat eager to find out what happens to the characters in the end.
