Very Good in Very Good jacket. Signed by Author(s) First printing. SIGNED presentation copy by McAleer on the front endpaper: For Margaret Farrar, with the esteem and affection of her friend, John McAleer, 4/2/81." This is an acoount of a tour of duty during the Korean War that focuses in on Billy, a 17year old Irish pug from South Boston, and Dewey a tough, ornery Texan who must find their way to survival by depending on their basic instincts and each other. The authors began their collaboration in 1965, while Dickson was serving time in prison. Dickson died tragically in 1974 and Professor McAleer completed the manuscript. A scarce book and an exceedingly scarce autograph. Very good with some edgewear and soiling to the dustjacket. Not priceclipped.
