Nice 60's Spy Novel
I had never had the chance to read the Johnny Fedora books when I was younger. I had collected just about every 60's spy that was available, James Bond, Matt Helm, Sam Durrell and the rest. Fedora is an engaging character, not completely in the tux, girls, and gadgets mode, he's more of rich playboy enjoying the Spanish coast. He gets involved with a Russian spy and her master Feramantov in a plot to raise a sunken U-Boat full of gold and other treasures that was sunk while sneaking a Nazi High Command type to Brazil. Needless to say Johnny saves the day. Mindless 60's spyjinks. The nice thing is it's only about 170 pages so you can read the whole thing in one day sitting at the beach or poolside. Great Fun.
