The title track of this single, "Underground," taken from their self-titled LP, was the first to gain Ben Folds Five worldwide recognition and is found here in a slightly edited version that removes the conversational introduction. Considered by fans to be the 1990s equivalent to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," the song parodies the alternative lifestyle with great harmonies and witty lyrics.
