Light toning of backstrip. tiny faint toning spot on closed page ends. VG+. Hinges not cracked; no owner marks; no dj. ***Presentation copy to Mrs. Irene Selznick signed by Zilahy dated Hollywood, 1931. Selznick was socialite and theatrical producer. No owner marks. In later removable protective glassine jacket. Scarce book and in excellent condition. Pictures available on request.
Lajos Zilahy was a very talented Hungarian writer. I first happened on his books in New Orleans while on a Mardi Gras trip. I found them at an antiquated store and was intrigued by the titles. Probably because I'm Hungarian and knew there would be historical information that I could learn from and indeed did. I have as of yet not read this book, but expect nothing short of excellence from this author.
