Brecker is on hand for a joint romp through John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" (a second version features only Mintzer), Mintzer's intricate blues"Two T's," and on his own for a lush interpretation of "Body and Soul," the latter which is combined in a medley with Mintzer's setting of "Everything Happens to Me." While the CD title is a bit misleading, the performances are consistently at a high level.
