Two stories based in Tupelo, MS. Chesterville Grocery: "It was supposed to be a quick walk to the "Candy Store," our name for the Chesterville Grocery....one little mile....but it was actually so much more." New Fall Season: A winning ticket, a new television, a new fall season of shows that would change a life forever. ______________________________ readers review: "Clay Howard has written a gem of a story here. To me, an author has done his or her job when I actually feel anxiety over a situation or hope or worry for the characters. Clay Howard clearly worked overtime on this story - he definitely did his job. I don't want to spoil the details of the story, so I'll just say this - Clay exposes menace and truth in the most ordinary of places and takes the reader along for the ride. In fact, the story has all the elements of some of the aspects that I enjoy most about some of Stephen King's stories (like 'Stand by Me' for example): rich characters, ordinary setting, unexpected danger. A great read!"
