The Maj society of Thaumaturgery led by the respected and phenomenally powerful Zalund Arj, joins with the independent thaumaturges to defend and protect all the people of Kangalor. The Satrup sits in his palace demanding expensive entertainments while refusing to take any interest in his countries difficulties. His courageous younger brother, Prince Lomax, joins the Generals of the Kangalor army. On the borderland, at the head of his troops he defends the country and its citizens with a bloody sword. Courageous agents enter the Das Blaazd territories to send back information about Lei, s invasion strategies and troop movements, only to be tracked and endangered by Lei's murderous counter agents.
