This is a great read-aloud book for younger kids, especially 2-5 year olds (though my 7 year old still gets a kick out it). The cadence of the text and its fun, repetitive phrases allow the kids to anticipate what's coming and join in -- "Dump it in. Smash it down. Drive around the trashy town." Bright, quirky illustrations add to the appeal.

Great for Group Reading
We first saw this book at my son's preschool, and the kids love it when the teacher reads it to everyone. My son loves garbage trucks and it's a good, rhythmic story about cleaning up trashy town. No mention of recycling, though.
