A complimentary copy with slip pasted to the front free endpaper, a typed letter from Charles P. Craig (with his signature), addressed to James M. Cox, who had recently been a two-time governor of Ohio and was the Democratic nominee for President in 1920. There's also a two-page "syllabus" summarizing the arguments of the book. This was Cox's copy and was purchased from his library.
