Her readers expect words of hope mixed with nostalgia. Three years ago, she began writing blogs on her own website. This platform allowed a little more of her spiritual side to shine, with its reminders to seek the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), wait on Him to renew her strength (Isaiah 40:31), and keep her walking humbly with Him (Micah 6:8). Her first book, Turn, Turn, Turn was a compilation of the best of her Ouachita Life columns. Her devoted fans clamored for a second book, so plans were underway. Then, 2020. Suddenly, the generic hearts-and-flowers columns seemed irrelevant. The focus shifted to a vital connection, a way to reach out with encouragement into lonely and discouraged homes. To Everything a Season continues the theme put forth in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. God has a plan through the happy times, the sad times, the confusing times, and the downright scary times. He is with us, and we believe His promise that He will continue to be.
