"To Dream In The City of Sorrows" is the first Babylon 5 book which was accepted by J. M. Straczynski as 100% canonical. It was in fact written under JMS's supervision.
The book itself is a link between the first and the second season of Babylon 5 TV series. For years fans were wondering: what happened to Sinclair? Drennan filled this gap very nicely (especially taking under consideration the fact that writing such a book is very difficult) by describing Sinclair's life on Minbar, first as Earth's ambassador, later as the leader of Anla Shok. We also find out how Marcus became a ranger and what happened to Sinclair's fiancee.
The book is very well written and engrossing, it has everything a good book needs. A definite must-read for all Babylon 5 fans.
