After years of having two excellent but short Michael Smith albums (8 songs each on LP, combined on one Flying Fish CD), containing his signature songs the "Dutchman" and "Spoon River," it's great to have a new collection to live with. This is a solo album, and so we get to hear Smith's impassions singing and authoritative rythmic guitar playing. The songs are, like all Smith's work, detailed pieces of poetry.
