The Irish writer describes the River Thames near his cottage in a Berkshire. Very attractively illustrated with the author's famous woodcuts. Born in Cork and educated at UCD, Gibbings was a skilled artist and was founding member of the Society of Wood Engravers and ran the Golden Cockerel Press, 1924-33. He wrote many travel books often illustrating them himself.
