In addition to the free-spirited version of title track, we get covers of Kokomo Arnold's "Milk Cow Blues," Lee Pockriss' "Crazy Rhythm," Phil Baxter's "I'm a Ding Dong Daddy," and eight previously unissued numbers among the 14 included here. This is sort of the group's jazz standard showcase, with lots of prominent piano work from Millard Kelso, dazzling steel from Noel Boggs, Roy Honeycutt, and Herb Remington, plus Wills' and Joe Holley's usual excellence on the fiddles, and some sizzling electric mandolin from Tiny Moore, matched by electric guitar from Eldon Shamblin and Lester Barnard, Jr. The version of "Milk Cow Blues" alone, one of Tommy Duncan's best blues performances, makes this worth owning, and Barnard's guitar solo is icing on the cake. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
