Top edge dyed in light blue, one page roughly cuton the top, otherwise a clean, barely read copy. Price-clipped pictorial blue jacket has small chips on the spine edges, even soiing on the rear panel. Overall a wevery well preserved copy. "Written by the great grand-daughter of Seth Pinkham, the captain of the Dauphin, a whaling ship, the author had access to many of his letters, and has transcribed them from the word of mouth the recollections of his daughters."
