NICE NARRATIVE HISTORY
I was a little skeptical about this book, as it was published in 1936, and represents a rather outdated historiography. But it is a very nice read for people interested in Harvard's history. Morison seems to write from a whiggish perspective, and it's clear he sees Harvard in the vanguard of progressive American institutions. If you can overlook this, it's a valuable narrative history, very nicely written and entertaining as well.
