Seller's Description:
Very Good in Very Good jacket. Book. 8vo-over 7¾-9¾" tall. Signed by Author(s) Price NOT clipped, DJ nicely in archival wraps with wear to the edges; end page stained. Inscribed by the author (Owens) on inside FFEP and then an author signature again on the first title page so double signature both in ink. First printing of the 1986 reprint edition.
I relate to this book since I grew up not to far from the author, although a few years later. His story is well written and gives one a real feel for what he was going through as a boy and young man. He describes very well some of the same situations and hardships that my father did.

Bigger than Texas!
A book that's as glorious as the state of Texas. Take a trip back in time as a boy grows up in rural north Texas, working the land. He eventually escapes his hard life when he moves to the big city of Dallas,Texas and establishes a new life, but his roots will always be planted in the rich Texas farmland of his birthplace. Wonderfully written, I could not put it down! anyone who enjoys Texas history will love this book.
