I actually bought this book for a friend because I wanted to keep my own copy. (Those of you who lend books to others probably know what I'm talking about: you hope you get it back but you know that sometimes the book gets lost, forgotten, passed around, whatever, and you never see it again.) Anyway, this book is a book filled with common wisdom and even budget pages to help parents gain a healthy perspective of their readiness and the reality of BECOMING a stay-at-home parent. I don't think this book is extremely helpful for those that are already in a stay-at-home situation; however, the worksheets do help with getting a really good picture of finances and budgeting. Because this is a Christian book it may not be welcomed by all, but becoming a stay-at-home parent is more than just getting the finances all ironed out. Being a stay-at-home mommy myself, I know that a great deal of the adjustment also comes from the intangible; we as parents have to be ready for the day in, day out grind of being at home. It does take a strong individual to make the most of being at home and the writers of this book are committed to laying out guidelines/helpful insights about what that means as well.
