This is a very good book on the Theory of Rank tests. Accurate and to the point, and compared to the later edition, this first edition is actually much more readable layout-wise, which quite strange, but true. The proofs are short and they requiered me to think a bit, but I've encountered no errors. A solid knowledge of statistics and probability theory (especially probability based on measure theory) is needed to fully enjoy this book.
