Armed with a cane for his arthritis in one hand and a pistol in the other, 57-year-old Brig. Gen. Theodore Roosevelt Jr. won the Medal of Honor at Normandy, the oldest American on Utah Beach. This is the story of the namesake and eldest son of the 26th President of the United States. A lesser man would have languished in the shadows of a father as famous and flamboyant as Theodore Roosevelt Sr. Theodore Roosevelt Jr., however, was anything but a lesser man. Photos. Maps.

This book is a must read for those into history on the Theodore Roosevelt family, WW I, and WW II. The author, Paul Jeffers, has done excellent research into the subject for this book , T.J Jr. and truly explained the family and there drive to always serve the Nation. A most enjoyable read and to share the information. I will endeavor to read additional works by Paul Jeffers.

True American Hero
Paul Jeffers book was most enjoyable, as well as very enlightening. The story of this true American hero grabbed me and held my attention from cover to cover, so much so that I'm now looking forward to reading several more books about Theodore Jr., as well as the rest of his family.
