Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers were only together as a recording unit for 18 months, but thanks to classic singles like "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?," which appeared in 1956 from Gee Records, their legacy was immediately assured. Lymon was only 13-years-old when that side was released and in many ways he wasn't ready for the lifestyle that went with being a professional singer and first wave rock star.
