This book is factually based on the brutal uprisings against settlers in the new world. The Year is 1777. It is definitely a children's book, however it is a book that one who reads it will never forget and will show a side of history that is currently ignored in today's classrooms.recommended for intermediate or higher grades.i have not read it since 1964 when i was doing a college class which required a list of children's books with summary of each of a particular historical period. This one is burned in my memory.
