Triumph of God's love is part of a 5 or 6 book series (Desire of the Ages, Prophets & Kings, Prophets & Patriarchs, Bible Readings for the Home.) I enjoyed all of them.
The books are published by and for the 7th Day Adventists but the subject matter is suitable for any Christian or denomination. I especially enjoyed the church history, it was fascinating. They trace the Christian struggle and sufferings through the ages, including Martin Luther, the French Revolution, the struggle for Bibles, etc
"Bible Readings for the Home" sounds like a boring title but that was actually one of the best books with a terrific question & answer format and MORE good pictures. I think the SD Adventists did a wonderful thing by commissioning so many artists from the "Golden Era" to create new Christian art during the 1900's. These books have tons of Harry Anderson illustrations in them, as well as Clyde Provonsha, Paul Remmey, Vernon Nye, Lester Quade, Peter J. Rennings, John Steel, Jim Padgett, Russ Harlan, Joe Maniscalco, Robert Ayres and many more.
