Seller's Description:
Very good in Very good jacket. An uncommon history of three of the lesser known British Aftican colonies, published just a few years before they gained their indepenced from Britain. Northern Rhodesia (later Zambia), Southern Rhodesia (later Zimbabwe) and Nyasaland (later Malawi) were all subjugated by Britain in the late 19th century and became colonies until their independence in the 1960's This book describes their history right up to just prior. The book is very good in brown cloth with gilt titles and illustration on the spine and a red illustration on the front cover. There is minor spotting on the front cover, but otherwise it shows only minor wear. The end papers have some darkening, where perhaps newspaper clippings were once laid inside the covers. No other marks or damage. The clipped DJ is also very good with minor chipping, primarily at the jacket spine ends, and otherwise just minor shelf wear with no noticeable fading. CH.
