Excellent all around book on the beloved Mercedes Benz. Very informative and well written, extremely detailed from the beginning of the Star. Some of the photos I have never seen before including several of the first high-speed engine built in I believe 1883. The motoring advertisements were a joy to behold! Tres' Chic!!! Perhaps the average classic car fan does not realize is the companys humble beginnings from the bicycle stage. As I am interested in classic bikes as well, this book has given me many bonuses. I hope the readers of classic car books have a chance in purchasing this book on line or at a used book store. It can be pricey! I was fortunate, I purchased my copy at where else? Alibris!!!
