Seller's Description:
Fair. Lacks title page--opens to page iii of Preface. There is a second title page on the 32 page addendix--"Appendix to the Royal Standard English Dictionary, containing the Proper Names of Persons and Places in the Old and New Testaments...". This title page identifies William Perry as author and is dated 1793, Edinburgh, printed for Bell & Bradfute. There is an owner name in the back dated 1841 but I believe the book is earlier than that. The "f" is still being used for the lower case "s". The leather cover shows wear--well rounded corners and the like--but is very sound and servicable. Paper is slightly tanned but not fragile in any way. One page is torn and mended by sewing the two halves together! ; Square 32mo 4"-5" tall; 568 pages.
