I was looking for a book with BW-pictures of filmstars that me and my sister used to borrow in the library when we were kids. I thought this one might be the one I was looking for. At first I was a little disappointed because it showed it was not, but then I liked this one anyway. It has lots of BW-pictures beginning in the early years of film when there were only silent movies and ends in the 70s when the book was printed. Its not a typical picture book as you expect it because the pictures are assorted thematically in a way the author thaught might be conclusive. In the beginning its hard to comprehend but somehow it makes sense. All-embracing I liked the book very much.
