Seller's Description:
Near Fine. One of the most important memoirs of the World War I era. This copy is inscribed by Anton Sidlo, President of the Czechoslovak Republic, to Frank G. Hajicek of the, " Chicago post of the United Czeckoslovak Legionaries of America ". The inscription is touching to " my comrade in the days of the great war in which he struggled with me for democracy. " and it rightly describes Masaryk as " a good man, a wise philosopher, a great statesman and president. ". This is an excellent copy of the book in a somewhat worn dust jacket. The dust jacket is now protected in a mylat cover.
