Bookplate of a known collector, leather a little rubbed and powdery at the spine ends, small stain on front fly, still a nice, very good or better copy. Copy number 4 of 350 copies on Holland handmade paper (there were also 25 on Japan paper). Howes 507a (mentioning a folding map in a separate volume, not present here).

Out of a total edition of 375 copies, this is number 76 of 350 on Holland hand-made paper. Includes a letter from the publisher, signed by E.H. Dodd to the son of the person for whom the book was printed. With a prefatory section by John Fletcher Hurst, and an Historical Introduction by Victor H. Paltsits. First edition.
