Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; Possible 1st Edition hardcover in dark navy cloth covered boards and gilt horse illustration and title on front, top-edge darkened with dust, head of spine is sunned with sharp tips and ends. 212pp text is tight and crisp with foxed preliminaries but no writing, tears or soil inside. Original dj is clipped and is chipping with some loss, foxing on white background of rear panel and flaps but has been repaired and displays well in new mylar. A highly recommended general introduction to horse ownership and care.
