Signed by Author Some edge and corner wear to the dj, beginning to chip at the head of the spine and the lower front cover of the dj, lightly scuffed, spine of the dj is slightly faded, corners are gently bumped and rubbed, some shelf wear, overall a very crisp and clean first edition! Green boards quarterbound by black with white lettering on the spine. Very very rare and hard-to-find title! Dj is nicely preserved in a brand new protective mylar plastic cover! 159 very clean unmarked and uncreased historical pages of text and 8 wonderful pages of historic black and white photographs! Extremely scarce! A signed leaflet from the ("Mount Morris Independence Day Celebration 'Church Day'-Sunday, July 4th, 1965 Sponsored by the Churches of Mount Morris, Illinois") is included (On the back side of the leaflet there is a photograph of Bob Richards with a paragraph which reads: "The Rev. Robert E. Richards, Olympic Champion, all-time track and field great, and popular TV personality, is a Minister-at-large of the Church of the Brethren. A graduate of the University of Illinois (B.A. and M.A. ) whose seminary was Bethany Biblical of Chicago (now Oak Brook), Bob Richards is the Director of the Wheaties Sports Federation. He and his wife, Mary, and their daughter and two sons reside in LaVerne, California. HIs presence in Mount Morris on Independence Day, 1965, is sponsored by the Brethren, Christian (Disciples), Evangelical Free, Lutheran and methodist churches of the village."
