Everett Haley in red pen: "For our friend Raymond Burr preminent in bring the cause of justice to a world sadly in need of orientation; --also imaginative (illegible) and sturdy American--With best wishes J. Everett Haley February 26, 1973. Co-author Curry Holden also signs in black ink below Haley's autograph. A fine, clean copy in original two-tone cloth with vg+ dust jacket with slight rubbing and mild edgewear/dust soiling. No chips or tears and not price-clipped.

Design and typography by Carl Hertzog and Ed Davis. Book has slight right lean. Green cloth boards with picture of Hamlin on front boards and orange cloth quarter bound. Minor edgewear. Gift inscription to previous owner on front free end paper. Rest of interior clean and bright. Dust jacket is made of heavy, quality paper and has price intact. Corners and edges have a little creasing and wear, and spine ends have light chipping. Pale green background shows rubbing, especially on hinges on flap folds. Front hinge area of dust jacket has small separation on top and bottom. Now in protective cover.
