Seller's Description:
Very good. Octavo, 365pp. A very good copy in the publisher's red cloth, lacking the dust jacket. Spine gilt dulled, and milf toning and dust-soiling to edges, but a sound copy. Bookseller label from the Drama Book Shop on 52nd St in New York City on the rear paste-down. This copy SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Eaton to fellow theatre critic and author Barrett H. Clark on the front free endpaper: "For Barrett Clark from his friend Walter Prichard Eaton." The two were both significant figures in the world of theatre criticism and analysis in the first half of the 20th century. Clark had a long and storied career in theatre, and was very close to Eugene O'Neill. Clark is perhaps best known today as O'Neill's biographer.
