In my opinion, The Crack-up rates among the best of F.Scott Fitzgerald's writing!
Reminding me of Oscar Wilde's The Ballad of Reading Gaol, The Crack-up,
the result of intense personal experience and uncompromising self-examination,
crashes through any 'locks' of individual inhibition and creates a chilling sense
of empathy in the reader!
