An enchanting story of an elf who lives in a house with humans. He has a love of pies especially Blueberry. After sampling a blueberry pie and falling in love with it, he tries to get the people to bake another. But the pies they bake are every other kind of fruit pie but blueberry. He eventually writes out in cherry pie juice footprints for the family to bake a Blueberry pie ... which they do.
LOVED this book as a child and have searched for it for years. So nice to see it back in print with the illustrations of Seymour Flieshman.

You Can Almost Smell the Blueberries!
As a child growing up, one of my favorite places was our town library. I remember going each and every week to find that one, special book that I just HAD to have...T-Th-Thayer...Blueberry....THERE IT IS!!! The Blueberry Pie Elf! I found it once again! No matter who was with me or waiting for me, I would plop myself down right on the floor and begin reading. For years my name was one of the few ever written on the card. The more I read this warm, humorous tale of an elf obsessed with blueberry pie, the more I noticed little bends or tears in the book. As I got older, so did the book. One day I went looking and it wasn't there! After inquiring at the desk I found out it had been beyond repair! I asked to have it, no matter the shape, but they had already disposed of it. Truly, a tiny piece of my hear broke that day. Yours will too if you ever have the privilege to read The Blueberry Pie Elf! Enjoy!! Delicious!
