I read THE WOMAN INSIDE eight weeks ago, rated it four stars, and didn't have a chance to write something about it at that time. As I now sit here, I'm having trouble remembering much detail about the book. I recall getting a couple of the female characters confused in the beginning as the narration alternates between several people. After I got that squared away, it was a pretty quick and enjoyable read. Not overly suspenseful as far as thrillers go, but still felt worth reading. It wasn't very memorable overall as evidenced by my lack of much else to note about it. I can't remember who the murderer was nor their motivation.
Despite my inability to recall much detail of THE WOMAN INSIDE weeks after reading it, I did enjoy it and would recommend to fans of thrillers. This is the first book I've read by this author.

The Woman Inside is an intriguing mystery book about the death of a rich couple. It follows their maid and the person she lives with, a father named Bill Olsson. I was really confused by the point of him at first. I haven't read this author's other book A Nearly Normal Family, but I liked the writing style and different point of views. This helped me learn the roles of the different characters. Karla is a maid for the Rytters, the rich couple that gets killed, but while working for them she lives with Bill and his daughter Sally to help him pay rent. However there's sinister things going on at the Rytter's house and Sally and Bill get roped in as they try to get money. As far as thrillers go, this didn't feel like anything special. No twists jumped out at me. But it was an entertaining enough read. It's almost 400 pages but felt like a quick read to me.
