The Most Complete and In-Depth Look at the Classic
This book is one of the most complete and in-depth looks at the creation of the classic film available. It contains info on L. Frank Baum and his OZ books; the creation of the classic film, including all the different drafts of the scripts and ideas; photographs of costume and makeup tests; photographs of deleted and alternate scenes; and much more. The book goes even further than the creation of the film by detailing its growth from a simple film to world-wide phenomina to the most beloved classic film of all time. OZ memorabila, promotional campaigns, etc. are all also detailed in this book. Great book for any fan. I got this book when I was 10 years old and I can honestly say I learned a large majority of what I know about the film from this book. It is a great addition to any collection and has earned a cherished spot on my OZ bookshelf. Not to mention the author, John Fricke, is one of the nicest men you could ever meet!
