I must have read this book hundreds of times when I was a media specialist..we wore it out. The kids, young and old, never ceased to enjoy it..and had it memorized and "read" along with me. When you read it to your children, be sure to watch their faces after the frog meets the alligator.

Great book! Grandson Loves it!
This has always been a favorite story (joke), even before it was in book form. I always told it to small children, making my mouth as wide as possible when saying what the frog says. Now it is a book and has become my grandson's favorite book!

A darling book for toddlers
I have a 16 month old granddaughter. She is learning how to look and take care of books. She is learning this by taking care not to tear or rip at this cute book. It is perfect for little fingers and the story line is fun to read to a child!

Very Fun Pop-up book
The Wide-Mouthed Frog is all I had hoped it would be. I have it in my suitcase for a visit to my grandchildren as I write. It will delight them for a long time as long as the baby doesn't tear it up! Wonderful illustrations and just the right amount of "reality" (yes, all animals are consumers of one type or another) to be instructive without being terrifying. sgh
