It was thought at the time that the Whitebird may have crashed into the ocean due to the weight of ice on her wings but no wreckage or bodies were ever found. This story is about my 4-year search in the wild woods of Maine, with 3 dedicated companions following some of the age-old clues and rumors that a plane that may have been the Whitebird had crashed locally in the vicinity of Round Lake in 1927. Always coming up with blank results and a wall of silence coming from the local people, who didn't particularly like strangers we were able finally to solve the mystery and find out the horrible truth of where the Whitebird crashed and what happened to Nungesser and Coli, A truth that has been kept hidden from the rest of the world for generations.
