another great one by Mankell
I really enjoy Mankell's mysteries. You get deep inside his characters and, for once, the supervisor is competent and supportive. I am working my way through all of the series and haven't found a bad one yet.

HENNING MANKELL IS A SWEDISH GIFT TO AMERICAN
IN KURT WOLLANDER, MANKELL'S SERIES CHARACTER HE HAS CREATED A COMPLICATED AND ENDEARING MAN. HE STARS IN SWEDISH POLICE PROCEDURALS THAT ARE MORE LITERARY, INTELLIGENT AND INSIGHTFUL THAN MANY WRITERS WE ARE USED TO. EACH OF HIS BOOKS FOCUS UPON A WELL PLOTTED MURDER AS IS FOUND IN 'WHITE LIONESS'. RED HERRINGS, FALSE STARTS AND MISREAD CLUES AFFORD READERS A JOURNEY THAT IS PROVOKING AND RIVETING. THIS HOLDS TRUE FOR 'WHITE LIONESS' WHICH IS A THRILLING MYSTERY/PROCEDURAL THAT IS WELL PLOTTED, BELIEVABLE AND POPULATED WITH FINELY LIMNED CHARACTERS. I RECOMMEND ALL OF HIS BOOKS. GERBAM
