Although this book is done using line-drawings (cartoons) it is NOT a "comic book" by any stretch of the imagination!! There are some humorous parts (which prior-service types may understand) but mostly it is a down-to-earth, realistic
look at combat deployment and all that leads up to it. Includes the intrapersonal relationships found in (most) combat units. Deals strongly with the signs, symptoms and effects of PTSD and situations that develop it. Although my combat experience as a Corpsman with Marines in Vietnam was many years ago, this book still rings true and brings back memories, some good, some not so good.
I feel this is truly a "must read" for Combat Vets and their Families!
