Of course, given the dates this volume covers, much of the book is devoted to maps describing campaigns of the Civil War. Maps are primarily printed in brown with various colors describing military movements. This is an oversize rectangular quarto sized book. It is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket is also nice with no chips or tears, but there is creasing to top edge of rear panel of jacket; now in a removable protective mylar cover.; Maps; 4to 11"-13" tall.

Revised and updated from the 1959 edition originally prublished by Praeger, New York. Contains revised maps and text, a new foreword by Edward M. Coffman, a new bibliography, and new reproductions of the maps.
It has taken me awhile to thoroughly and carefully examine the item, due to its immensity and scope. In my examination, I found the product exactly as stated by the seller, and would recommend him to others. The shipping had a slight problem but was quickly overcome, and the item arrived in great condition--due in no small part to the excellent and careful thought of the seller's packaging.
