Opening with a pair of very ethnic sounding numbers, El Chicano's "Viva Tirado" and the Salas Brothers' "Leaving You" (which owes a bit to "Blue Moon"), it has a split personality from the start. Opening with a pair of very ethnic sounding numbers, El Chicano's "Viva Tirado" and the Salas Brothers' "Leaving You" (which owes a bit to "Blue Moon"), it has a split personality from the start. The Majestics' "Everything Is Gonna Be Alright" is also a loud, upbeat dance number, but then comes the Romancers' smoothly romantic "She Gives Me Love." And these numbers bounce back and forth across a half-decade or more in terms of recording dates -- and are then closely followed by the Premiers' fuzz-laden "Get on This Plane," which deserved a place on the Nuggets box. Somewhere after that comes the smooth soul sound of the East Side Kids' "Listen to the Wise Man" and the Santana-like "Con Safos" by Tocayo.
