Having been lent - and having enjoyed - "The Food of Love" by a "foodie" friend, I was very keen to accept the recommendation to read the associated novel, "The Wedding Officer".
Slightly different in emphasis, the inevitable love / food mix was just as interesting and page-turning, here spiced up by the military / wartime context - but not quite "Sergeant Bilko" or "Catch 22"
Perhaps a little sentimental, nevertheless an excellent read: best read as a pair.
